Geely’s premium EV brand Zeekr has officially launched two electric vehicles in Malaysia: the premium Zeekr 009 MPV and the compact Zeekr X crossover SUV. Positioned as high-end alternatives in their respective categories, the former rivals the Toyota Alphard, while the latter challenges models like the Smart #3 and Leapmotor C10.
The Zeekr 009, touted as a luxurious and powerful electric MPV to be available in Malaysia, comes in two variants. Both feature twin motors delivering 450kW (603hp) and 693Nm of torque, propelling the vehicle from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Equipped with a 116kWh battery, it offers a WLTP-rated range of 582km and supports 150kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10-80% charge in 30 minutes. For overnight charging, the MPV includes an 11kW AC onboard charger.
Interior highlights include a choice of 7-seat (2-2-3) or 6-seat (2-2-2) configurations, with features like Sofaro First Class Aeronautic seats offering ventilation, massage, and memory functions. The cabin boasts advanced tech, including a 15.05-inch OLED infotainment screen, a 17-inch roof-mounted display, and a 30-speaker Yamaha surround sound system. Safety and assistance features include a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and comprehensive ADAS capabilities.
Colour options for the Zeekr 009 include Phantom Black, Electric Blue, and Crystal White Pearl. Meanwhile, its interior colour scheme choices include Black, Stone Grey and Polar White, as well as Midnight Blue and Polar White.
The Zeekr X crossover also offers two variants: the AWD Flagship with twin motors (422hp, 543Nm) achieving 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds, and the RWD Premium with a single motor (268hp, 343Nm) completing the sprint in 5.6 seconds. Both variants come with a 66kWh battery, offering a range of up to 440km and supporting 150kW DC fast charging.
Safety-wise, the Zeekr X boasts a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, seven airbags, and a robust suite of ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control, automatic lane changes, and parking assistance.
The Zeekr X is offered in Crystal White, Mist Grey, Grid Grey, Palace Beige, and Pine Green. Its interior, on the other hand, is only available in Charcoal Black or Stone Grey.
Pricing starts at RM349,800 for the Zeekr 009 Luxury (7-seater) and RM359,800 for the Ultra-Luxury (6-seater). Meanwhile, the Zeekr X Premium is priced at RM155,800, with the Flagship AWD at RM172,800.
Additionally, the brand has revealed that early buyers will receive a complimentary Zeekr Wallbox home charger, portable charger, and solar film. Both vehicles come with a 5-year/150,000km vehicle warranty and an 8-year/160,000km battery warranty.
