Tecno has launched two new smartphones in Malaysia, namely the Spark 30 5G and the Spark Go 1S. The former is the 5G variant of the similarly-named smartphone released earlier this year while the latter seems to be a refresh of the Go 1 with differing specs but offered at the same price.

The Spark 30 5G sports a 6.67-inch 720p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. For protection, it comes with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

Imaging-wise, it features a 108MP main camera, a depth sensor, and an 8MP front shooter. Powering the affordable phone is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. On the connectivity side, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC while for security, it is fitted with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

On the other hand, the Spark Go 1S gets the same 6.67-inch LCD display with a lower 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is equipped with a more capable MediaTek Helio G50 chip with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Just like the 30 5G, it has a side-mounted scanner and an IP54 rating.

On the optics front, it has a simple setup made up of a 13MP main sensor on the back alongside an 8MP selfie snapper. The entry-level device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with a slower charging speed of 10W. Connectivity-wise, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0.

The Spark Go 1S is available now through the brand’s Shopee and Lazada stores at RM299. Meanwhile, the Spark 30 5G will be arriving tomorrow on the company’s TikTok Shop store, with price tags of RM549 and RM599 for the 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB configurations respectively.
