Tesla Malaysia has introduced an EV Switcher Programme, offering a RM10,000 uplift to encourage Malaysians to trade in their petrol and diesel vehicles for electric ones. This limited-time promotion provides new Tesla Model 3 and Model Y customers with an additional RM10,000 discount when they trade in their private internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, aiming to accelerate the nation’s transition to cleaner mobility.

The program simplifies the switch to electric vehicles (EVs) by enabling car owners to replace their ICE vehicles with Tesla’s fully electric models. By providing substantial incentives, Tesla seeks to reduce the carbon footprint of Malaysian drivers and promote environmental sustainability. This aligns with broader global efforts to combat climate change by transitioning to zero-emission transportation.

Interested buyers can start by visiting Tesla Malaysia’s trade-in page, where they can input their vehicle’s VIN and other details for an instant online valuation. Tesla highlights the program’s streamlined trade-in process, offering a hassle-free transition to EV ownership. Alternatively, they may also choose to call its hotline at 1800 810 655 for more details regarding the EV Switcher Programme.

Alongside the RM10,000 trade-in uplift, Tesla continues to provide attractive financing options. These include interest rates as low as 0% under its Green Incentives Program, with a minimum down payment of 10%. The Tesla Model 3 starts at RM181,000, translating to an average daily payment of RM55, while the Model Y starts at RM191,000 with an average daily payment of RM58, making EV ownership more accessible to a broader audience.
