Popular torrenting site TorrentGalaxy seems to be experiencing some downtime yet again, with users speculating that it might suffer the same fate as RARBG, which was shut down last year due to inflating costs. Users who go to its website are currently being met with an altered image of a scene from the movie Logan that reads “TG(X) Forever”.
Moreover, the file of the image in question is named “johntucker.jpg”, which could potentially be a reference to the film “John Tucker Must Die”. Regardless, all of its websites have been down for a couple of days now with no updates. Even its proxy list website only displays a message that reads “Executing End-Program.exe…”, further hinting at its permanent demise.
Back in June, TorrentGalaxy greeted users with a page that only read “4ever?”. The site was eventually back up and ran as usual, but no explanation was given for the downtime and even the site operators were kept out of the loop.
There is a .one domain of TorrentGalaxy that is currently accessible, but Reddit users claim that this is only a copycat website and is not an official proxy. Its downtime is coming hot on the heels of recent crackdowns of popular pirate streaming sites, including 16 illegal anime streaming sites.
