Razer has recently launched its latest Seiren V3 series of desktop microphones, which consists of Chroma and Mini variants. Both basically pack the same hardware, though the former version will be offering a bit more, including RGB integration.
The Seiren V3 Chroma is positioned as the new flagship microphone, boasting a plethora of customizable lighting options alongside top-notch recording capabilities. It introduces a new multi-function tap-to-mute sensor on its top, allowing users to conveniently silence their audio. Furthermore, users can assign controls to trigger additional functionalities, such as toggling through RGB lighting effects with a double tap. Additionally, a press-to-hold feature enables easy adjustment of headphone monitoring volume with a three-second press.
Functioning as a Supercardioid Condenser microphone, the Seiren V3 Chroma is engineered to capture voices while minimising background disturbances like keyboard clicks. Advanced gain settings, including a digital limiter, prevent audio distortion. An LED indicator alerts users when input levels exceed a set threshold.
Its RGB integration supports 16.8 million colours and endless customisation. Utilising the Chroma RGB support, users can sync the microphone to match the lighting of their Razer mouse, keyboard, headset and other peripherals.
In contrast, the Razer Seiren V3 Mini serves as the entry-level, compact counterpart to the flagship microphone. Despite its smaller size, it inherits many features from its larger sibling, including tap-to-mute functions and customizable controls. The Mini, also a condenser microphone with supercardioid pickup patterns, effectively suppresses background noise and features a built-in shock absorber to mitigate accidental bumps during streams or podcasts. Integration with Razer Synapse enhances audio control and allows for personalised settings adjustments.
Unlike the Seiren V3 Chroma, the Seiren V3 Mini does not include RGB Chroma integrations. Instead, the microphone is made in three various colours: Black, White, and Quartz.
Both the Razer Seiren V3 Chroma and Seiren V3 Mini are available now via the brand’s official online store. The former is priced at RM689, while the latter is at RM259.
