Yesterday, Infinix announced a launch date for new phones that it will be introducing to the Malaysian market, which it shortly revealed to be the Hot 40 Pro and Hot 40i. Today, it seems that one of its retailers has jumped the gun by listing the two upcoming devices ahead of the official release, revealing the pricing and specs.
According to the DirectD website, the Hot 40 Pro is priced at RM699 for 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with a microSD card slot for expansion. It sports a 6.78-inch 1080p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. The phone also comes in three colour options, namely black, blue, and gold.
On the back, the Pro model features a 108MP primary sensor next to a 2MP macro lens while up front, the punch-hole cutout houses a 32MP selfie snapper. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging.
As for the Hot 40i, the more affordable variant retails for RM549 and only comes in black. It uses a Unisoc T606 chip paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. It is equipped with a 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and just like the Pro, it ships with XOS 13 based on Android 13.
For photography, the entry-level handset has a 50MP main camera alongside a secondary sensor while the front offers a 32MP selfie unit. The phone also gets a 5,000mAh battery capacity but with a slower charging speed of 18W.
Both the Hot 40 Pro and Hot 40i can be found on DirectD’s website, although with the pre-mature listing, it is unclear when it will ship out. The phones are due to be officially launched by the brand on 19 February.
