Infinix has teased the arrival of a new smartphone for the Malaysian market, one which will carry a Free Fire co-branding. The company has not revealed which phone exactly it plans to bring here or when the launch will happen, but we do have some likely candidates.
There are currently three Infinix smartphones that have already been listed on the SIRIM database but not yet launched in Malaysia, namely the Hot 40 Pro, Hot 40i, and the yet-to-be-announced Note 40. Of these three, the most probable candidate is the Hot 40 Pro, which already unveiled a Free Fire edition last December.
The Hot 40 Pro features a 6.78-inch 1080p 120Hz LCD display and runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, which is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging. For imaging, the phone sports a 50MP primary camera alongside a 2MP macro lens, while the front houses a 32MP selfie shooter.
If it is the Hot 40 Pro as speculated, it is unknown whether the Hot 40i will also launch beside the phone or that the brand will be saving the launch of the cheaper variant for a later date. In either case, the company will be unveiling its new smartphone next week on 19 February 2024.
