Samsung Galaxy S24 To Launch On 17 January In San Jose, New Report Claims

We have seen prior rumours claiming that the Samsung Galaxy S24 will be formally announced on 18 January of next year. A recent report suggests that the date for the Unpacked event is not far off the mark, with a location for the event also being mentioned.

South Korean news outlet TheElec claims that Samsung has confirmed that the event will be happening on 17 January. The event itself where the Samsung Galaxy S24 will be unveiled to the world will be held in San Jose, California. While the report notes that it’s the first time an Unpacked is being planned in San Jose, the US in general is probably the more familiar country for the company to organise the event in.

That being said, the report itself contains a glaring inconsistency. The report first quotes an unnamed Samsung official as saying that “sales will begin immediately”. But closer to the end, it claims that the Samsung Galaxy S24 will go on sale starting 30 January instead. So while such reports should normally be taken with a pinch of salt anyway, this element is worth pointing out especially.

Up to this point, there has been plenty of leaks on the Samsung Galaxy S24, especially for the base and Ultra variants. There is also a report, also by TheElec, that claims that there is no Plus model altogether. There will likely be more as we approach these supposed launch dates for the phone that will either corroborate or contradict the existing ones.
