The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 series, which previously launched in certain markets two weeks prior to this, has finally arrived in Malaysia. Available in vanilla and Plus variants, both of which are touted by the company to feature the largest screens of any Galaxy A tablets to date.

First off, we have the standard Galaxy Tab A9. This variant sports an 8.7-inch LCD display, with a refresh rate of 60Hz and a resolution of 1340×800 pixels. Also onboard are Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an 8MP primary camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.

Under its hood is a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while powering it is a 5,100mAh battery with 15W fast charging support via USB-C. Other features include Android 13 via Samsung’s One UI 5.1, microSD support up to 1TB, as well as Wi-Fi 5, LTE and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Next up is the bigger Tab A9 Plus, which is available in 5G and Wi-Fi only options. Regardless of which, both variants come with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset as well as 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, with external memory support up to 1TB via microSD. Display-wise, it features an 11-inch LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 1920×1200 pixel resolution.

Apart from that, it comes with Android 13 via One UI 5.1, a larger 7,040mAh battery with 15W fast charging support via USB-C, as well as Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. For imaging, the Tab A9 Plus features an 8MP primary camera on its back, and a 5MP selfie camera up front.
