The OPPO Watch 5 series is speculated to launching later this month alongside some of the brand’s other anticipated products. While it has not announced anything yet regarding the smartwatch lineup, a new post by leakster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has apparently leaked several of the key specs of the Watch 5 Pro.
For starters, the watch will likely feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 chipset, which is a slight upgrade from the Watch 3 series that used the vanilla version of the SoC. It will apparently sport an LTPO AMOLED display with a curved glass finish. The size has not been revealed but for reference, the Watch 3 Pro had 1.95-inch screen.
Powering it will be a slightly bigger 570mAh battery and it will run on Google’s Wear OS. For connectivity, it will purportedly be equipped with cellular LTE through eSIM support as well as NFC. On top of that, it will have the usual health and fitness features to monitor heart rate, blood-oxygen saturation levels, and so on, along with built-in GPS.
OPPO is tipped to hold a massive launch event that will see it unveil the Watch 5 series, the Find N3 foldable, the N3 Flip, and the Pad Air 2. It is expected to happen some time this month.
