OnePlus has officially launched its latest pair of wireless earbuds, the Nord Buds 2r, alongside its newest smartphone, the Nord 3 5G. The 2r are essential the same as the Nord Buds 2 from a few months back, but slightly stripped down for a lower price tag.
The Nord Buds 2r sport the same 12.4mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers as its more expensive variant, with support for Dolby Atmos and Dirac Audio Tuner. Similarly, they have IP55 dust and water resistance and are controlled by tapping on the sides of the earbuds.
They unfortunately lack ANC but still offer call noise cancellation with a wind-noise reduction mechanism for your voice to sound clearer on the other end. Additionally, the Nord Buds 2r are equipped with Bluetooth 5.3, a 94ms low latency gaming mode, and fast pairing, but the brand did take away the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously.
Battery life gets an improvement with the earbuds being able to function for eight hours on a single charge and up to a total of 38 hours with the charging case. The Nord Buds 2r are available in blue and black colour options with a retail price of RM299. You can pre-order them now on the brand’s website.
