Now’s the time if you’ve been planning to pick up Sony’s high-end wearable audio devices, as five of such are currently offered at noteworthy discounts via its official online stores, namely on Shopee and Lazada. The products in question are the WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM5 wireless headphones, as well as the XF-1000XM4, LinkBuds and LinkBuds S TWS earbuds.
Sony did not mention how long the reduced pricing for all the aforementioned items will last. That being said, the WH-1000XM5 and LinkBuds S are listed under the brand’s Models Of The Month promotion, which may imply that the discounts for both products could last throughout March. Nevertheless, stocks for each item are shown to be in limited quantities based on their listings on Shopee and Lazada, so you might want to act fast.

Sony WH-1000XM5
The WH-1000XM5 is still currently Sony’s latest addition to its flagship wireless headphones line-up. It features a new and even more minimalist design, and is equipped with ANC capabilities, touch-based controls, 30 mm audio drivers and a 30-hour battery life, among other things.
The headphones originally launched at RM 1,799, and are offered in either Black or Silver colours. With the current promotion, the Sony WH-1000XM5 is currently discounted at RM 1,399 (22% off).
Sony WH-1000XM4
As its name implies, the Sony WH-1000XM4 is basically the predecessor to the headset mentioned above. Despite being a generation older, the product performs more or less on par in terms of audio delivery, features, and battery life as its successor. However, they do come with larger 40 mm audio drivers, as well as dated calling and ANC capabilities.
If that’s fine with you, then its discounted price of RM 1,099 (31% off) may strike your fancy. For reference, the Sony WH-1000XM4 is retailing for RM 1,599 outside of this promotion. The downside is that Sony has four units left in stock at the time of writing this article, and the only colour option available is Black.
Sony WF-1000XM4

Despite being two years old, the WF-1000XM4 is still Sony’s latest entry to its premium WF-branded TWS earbuds line-up. Apart from its elegant design, the device comes with ANC, touch-based controls, Adaptive Sound Control, 6 mm drivers, Hi-Res Wireless Audio support, DSEE Extreme audio upscaling, and around eight hours of battery life on a single charge.
During this promotion, the Sony WF-1000XM4 can be yours for only RM 699, which is 36% off from its current retail price of RM 1,099. For colour choices, the buds are available in either Black or Silver.
Sony LinkBuds
As we’ve mentioned before, these are perhaps one of Sony’s most ambitiously designed earbuds to date. Rather than a traditional form factor, both sides sport a unique “donut”-like shape that intentionally allows external audio to pass through. Reason being that the product is released under the brand’s new LinkBuds line-up, which emphasises on providing users with passive audio transparency in order to be fully aware of their surroundings.
Onboard, the buds come with 12mm drivers, unique Wide Area Tap controls, ambient noise suppression for calls, and around 5.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. It is available in either Gray or White colours, and is currently discounted at RM 629 (26% off). Outside of this promotion, the Sony LinkBuds are priced at RM 849.
Sony LinkBuds S
Launched just a couple of months after its sibling, the LinkBuds S ditches the unique open-ear design for something more familiar. Despite that, it still has an emphasis on providing situational awareness to users, but this time around through technological means. More specifically, via advanced ANC capabilities and algorithms that manage noise cancellation automatically based on user habits and location.
Besides that, it features a lightweight design, 5 mm drivers, and a battery life of up to six hours of audio playback on a single charge. The Sony LinkBuds S are now offered at a discounted price of RM 599, which is 36% off from its original price of RM 929.
