AirAsia has once again launched a free flight campaign, this time offering a whopping 10 million seats. This comes just a month after its last free seats promotion, doubling the number of seats offered this time around and with even more options to choose from if you manage to snag them.

The booking period for this promotion is very short, running from 13 to 19 March 2023. Moreover, you won’t be able to fly anytime soon as the travel period for these free seats is between 4 September 2023 all the way up to 13 August 2024, which means you will have to plan quite far ahead for your trip.

For domestic destinations such as Langkawi, Penang, Johor Bahru, and more, the seats start from only RM23 one way. The reason it’s not completely free is that just like always, while the fare is RM0, you will still need to bear the cost of airport tax, MAVCOM fee, fuel surcharge, and other applicable fees.

Meanwhile, flights to ASEAN destinations such as Jakarta, Bali, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City go from RM60 one way. For the airline’s recently-resumed routes to destinations in China, they start from RM599 if you’re departing from Kuala Lumpur, RM299 from Kota Kinabalu, and RM469 from Johor Bahru.

There is also a separate promotion that covers flights under AirAsia X, its long-haul arm, to destinations even further away including Perth, Tokyo, and Taipei. For these flights, premium flatbed seats start from only RM1,299 one way for travel between 4 September 2023 and 9 July 2024.

Additionally, BigPay users can get a 5% discount on all AirAsia flights with the flight code “AK” for a year by using the promo code “BIGPAY5”. On a related note, AirAsia recently introduced Flight Delay Insurance by Tune Protect, which offers a RM200 payout for delayed flights for an additional RM10 one-way and RM14 for return trips.
