unifi Mobile, is now offering unlimited 5G to its prepaid and postpaid plans under its Uni5G branding. The update comes after its parent company Telekom Malaysia had announced the signing of the 5G access agreement with Digital Nasional Berhad yesterday on 30 October 2022.

For the prepaid option, customers can now enjoy unlimited 5G data via Uni5G’s BEBAS Monthly pass. This particular package is currently being offered at a promotional price of RM 35 per month, which is originally priced at RM 55. On top of unlimited 5G, the plan comes with monthly access to unlimited LTE data as well.

Meanwhile, those preferring the postpaid route may opt for the Uni5G Ultimate Plan, which now features unlimited access to both 5G and LTE data, as well as unlimited calls and SMS. Additionally, it also has a monthly 10 GB Hotspot quota, though keep in mind that this is only limited to LTE speeds.

This particular plan is offered for RM 59 per month with a 12-month contract, or RM 79 per month without a contract. Subscribers are also provided the option to purchase top-ups for the Hotspot quota at RM 8 for every additional 500 MB.

For Uni5G prepaid users, you can redeem the unlimited 5G data pass directly via the unifi Mobile app. Through this, simply purchase the BEBAS Monthly pass, and a prompt to claim the unlimited 5G access will pop-up. From there, just tap “Redeem Now” to activate. Do take note that you’re required to redeem the free unlimited 5G data within 72 hours upon purchasing the monthly pass.

On the other hand, postpaid subscribers can redeem the unlimited 5G data access via the app or unifi Mobile’s online portal. On the application, head over to the Accounts page, tap on Redeem 5G Data, and then choose your eligible service number. From there, tap on Get More Add-Ons, click the Buy Now button on the Unlimited 5G Data option, and finally confirm the selection. For the portal route, simply login to your account, click the Redeem Now banner, choose which service you would like to apply for 5G Data Pass, tap on Buy Now, and then confirm your selection.

Now, before you redeem or switch to Uni5G, do take note that not all 5G-enabled devices are supported by the telco just yet. This particular detail is important, especially for those using iPhones. For now, Android users can check whether their device is supported by referring to list provided on unifi Mobile’s official website.
