OnePlus 10T 5G Malaysian Launch

OnePlus has finally announced the local pricing for its latest flagship, the OnePlus 10T. The new phone is only sold in one configuration in Malaysia, with only the Jade Green colour available, meaning that customers here won’t be able to purchase the textured Moonstone Black colourway.

Just to refresh your memory, the OnePlus 10T is an update to this year’s flagship 10 Pro, coming with a slightly downgraded but still decent 1080p 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It also has an under-display fingerprint scanner but to make room for some other features, the brand has removed the signature physical alert slider on the side.

Powering the device is the powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm, paired with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. As for connectivity, it supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6.

On the back, you can find a triple-camera setup that lacks the Hasselblad branding found in its predecessor, featuring a 50MP main shooter using a Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens with a range of between 2 to 4 cm. Up front, the punch hole cutout in the middle houses a 16MP selfie camera.

OnePlus has oddly decided to fit a smaller 4,800mAh battery into the 10T, but makes up for it with the ultra-fast SUPERVOOC 150W charging, which the company claims can fully charge the device from empty in just 19 minutes. That being said, it notably lacks wireless charging despite its flagship specs.

The OnePlus 10T is open for pre-orders from today until 31 August on the brand’s Shopee and Lazada shops, retailing at RM3,199 for the 16GB+256GB model, with an estimated delivery date of 5 September, according to the Lazada product page. The first 25 units sold will also receive a bunch of bonuses including an extended warranty, screen protection, accidental damage protection, and a mystery box worth up to RM1,299.
