Those looking forward to Insta360’s recently launched ONE RS 1-Inch Leica 360 Edition will be glad to know that local stores are now accepting pre-orders for it. The new 360-degree camera is priced at RM 3,599 and, according to some stores, it is expected to arrive in Malaysia towards the end of this month.
Just in case you missed it, Insta360 debuted the ONE RS 1-Inch Leica 360 Edition for certain markets late last month. As implied by its name, equipped on the front and rear of the new product’s camera module are two large imaging sensors that are co-developed with renowned German brand Leica. According to the company, the device is capable of recording up to 6K resolution 360-degree videos, as well as capturing up to 21MP photos. In addition, the module itself is designed to be compatible with Insta360’s other modular components and bases, such as the one included with the original ONE RS.

Included together with the 1-inch Leica 360 Edition is a vertical grip bracket, a core module with an LCD screen and microSD slot, as well as a battery module. Each component can be slotted into the bracket – starting with the battery, core, and lastly, the 360-degree camera module. On the grip, you can find two release buttons for freeing the modules, a power button, a record button, and also a 1/4-inch screw mount for a compatible tripod or selfie stick at the bottom of its base.
The fully combined form enables for added features such as FlowState Stabilisation and Active HDR video capture, as well as recording up to 62 minutes of 6K videos at 30 frames per second. Insta360 promises that all modules are securely attached to each other, which guarantees a combined water resistance rating of IPX3.
Also included are a variety of shooting modes, post-processing features and AI-powered enhancements from Insta360. These include PureShot, PureShot HDR, Starlapse, Cinelapse, Skyswap, TimeShift, MultiView, and the impressive Invisible Selfie Stick feature. Additionally, you can utilise the 360-degree camera for live streaming and video conferencing as well.
Even though Insta360 launched the new ONE RS 1-inch Leica 360 Edition as either a standalone or a complete set (with all aforementioned modules and bracket), it appears that local distributors are only bringing in the former to the Malaysian market. Those interested may now pre-order the new 360-degree camera from local stores such as Shashinki, as well as numerous other trusted sellers on Shopee and Lazada.
