First launched in Barcelona during this year’s Mobile World Congress back in February, HONOR Magic4 Series has finally made its debut in Malaysia. The flagship series introduction in our market was done through the launch of the Magic4 Pro earlier today.

Already fully compatible with Malaysia’s 5G network, the Magic4 Pro runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor alongside 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone also features a 6.81-inch OLED display that has curved edges and a native resolution of 2848 x 1312.

HONOR pointed out that its new flagship offers adaptive refresh rate capability that can go from as low as 1Hz and up to 120Hz. This feature works alongside the phone’s 1920Hz PWM dimming technology that apparently is able to reduce eye strain as well as its power consumption.

In what seems to become more common among Android phone manufacturers, the Magic4 Pro has also been equipped with a dedicated display chipset which is powering the phone’s Always-On HDR feature that auto-converts SDR videos to HDR in real-time. In addition to that, HONOR also claimed that the phone is able to intelligently boost the frame rate of a video via another feature called Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation (MEMC).

HONOR Magic4 ProWhen it comes to photography, the Magic4 Pro relies on a trio of high-resolution cameras on its back which includes a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and 64MP periscope telephoto camera. Not enough with that, the module also has a flicker sensor and multi-point laser focus sensor.

Things are not shabby for the phone’s selfie camera too which features a 12MP sensor that has been paired with a dedicated 3D depth sensor. Not to forget, another main highlight of the phone is its ability to support a 100W charging rate through both wired and wireless methods for its 4600mAh battery.

HONOR Magic4 ProWhen it comes to pricing, the new Magic4 Pro can be obtained for RM3,999 starting from 11 June onwards. For those who are interested to secure their units early on and score some early bird freebies, HONOR Malaysia will begin to accept pre-orders from today itself.

The pre-order freebie set includes an HONOR Watch GS 3, a phone case, a 6-month screen crack protection program, and a 1-year of extended warranty. Consumers can choose to pre-order the new Magic4 Pro from HONOR Malaysia’s eStore as well as the brand’s official Lazada and Shopee stores.HONOR Magic4 ProAlternatively, one can also do so at HONOR Experience Stores throughout Malaysia and participating dealers including Courts, Senheng, senQ, and Urban Republic. Magic4 Pro pre-order program is also available through Digi and Maxis while Celcom and U Mobile will be offering their own telco plan for the phone on 11 June.

While we are still on the subject, don’t forget to check out our first hands-on experience with the Magic4 Pro right here if you want to have a closer look at the new flagship as well as a glance at its photography capability.
