We don’t know the reason but it seems that many manufacturers somehow choose to launch their new earbuds in Malaysia this week. The Amazfit PowerBuds Pro which will be available in our market on 21 August are among one of them but they do have something extra to offer aside from delivering a wireless audio experience.

This is because the right side of the PowerBuds Pro is equipped with a built-in heart rate sensor. Not only that, these earbuds can also be used to track users’ stats during walking, running, or cycling and they are also able to provide these stats to users through real-time as well as on-demand voice notifications.

In addition to that, the PowerBuds Pro also come with a feature that Amazfit called Cervical Spine Posture Reminders that generally aims to help users avoid neck pain from sitting for too long. Through this feature, the earbuds would play a musical rhythm once they detected that users have not changed their posture for a while, so they can follow along to relax their neck.

These IP55-rated earbuds also come with four different modes of Active Noise Cancellation, which apparently can cancel out up to 40dB of noise, including Indoor, Travel, Sports, and Adaptive. Users can also choose to activate the Thru Mode if they want to hear their surroundings while still being hooked to their music.

The Amazfit PowerBuds Pro comes in just one colour option for the time being though.

Amazfit also noted that each PowerBuds Pro earbuds is equipped with a pair of beamforming mics together with a call-pickup digital mic. Working hand in hand with AI algorithm, the 3-mic setup is apparently able to reduce up to 40dB of wind and environmental noises, so that the user’s voice would be clear from any disruption.

In terms of battery life, Amazfit claimed that the earbuds can last up to 9 hours of playback with ANC off or 5 hours 45 minutes if the ANC is turned on. When you consider the charging case, their battery life can be extended up to 30 hours without ANC or 19 hours with ANC.

As part of its launch, the new Amazfit PowerBuds Pro will be made available in Malaysia through the brand’s official store in Shopee at RM639 which is slightly lower than its usual price tag of RM699.
