IOUpay, a fintech and digital commerce company, has just launched myIOU, a new Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) service that can currently be used at over 300 online and in-store merchants.

As you may know, BNPL essentially enables you to pay for things by instalments. With myIOU, you’re allowed to split your purchase into two, three, or six monthly payments at zero interest. Any Malaysian aged 18 and above who has access to a local credit or debit card can sign up with myIOU and receive instant credit approval of RM1,000 for purchases from IOUpay-approved merchants.

Prominent merchants currently on myIOU include Aone Plus, Buffalo Malaysia, Livein, Loop on Leith Hotel, smartrental.asia, Teppanyaki Malaysia and Tsukiji No.18.

In conjunction with myIOU’s launch in Malaysia, IOUpay is also introducing myIOU Credit+ and myIOU Merchant+. The former allows existing myIOU consumers to sign up to increase their credit limit up to RM10,000, while the latter enables myIOU merchants to provide additional credit limit up to RM10,000 to eligible myIOU Credit+ consumers for a one-time purchase.

Furthermore, as a launch promotion, myIOU will be giving an instant discount of RM10 for a new user’s first transaction using the “MYIOU10” voucher code and a referral reward of RM5 for every successful referral to friends and family members. Bear in mind that this special launch offer only lasts for a limited time.

For Malaysians, myIOU is now available for download from the Apple App Store for iOS 12 and above, and the Google Play Store for Android v6 and above. For more information on myIOU, you can visit its official website.
