Used car e-commerce platform myTukar has partnered up with PolicyStreet.com to offer insurance for car purchases. The latter is notably owned by Polisea Sdn. Bhd, a financial adviser and Islamic financial adviser approved by Bank Negara Malaysia.
According to myTukar, users of its platform can now receive insurance quotations within minutes at the push of a button. They can then select the policy that they want.
The company laid out the process of obtaining car insurance in three steps. First, users should enter their car details to generate “instant” quotes. Next, they should compare quotations from a list of insurance providers. Finally, they should fill up their details with add-ons (if any) and make payment.
“We are excited to be partnering with myTukar to deliver the transformation that myTukar is looking for in enabling seamless motor insurance purchase for all of myTukar’s customers,” said PolicyStreet.com CEO Lee Yen Ming.
Insurance providers have come on board with myTukar via PolicyStreet.com include Allianz General Insurance Company Berhad, AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad, Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad, Pacific and Orient Insurance Co. Berhad, RHB Insurance Berhad and Syarikat Tafakul Malaysia Am Berhad.
myTukar noted that the above list isn’t exhaustive as more insurance providers are in the process of coming on board.
