More than a month after launching the myrapidTap cashless payment service, Prasarana Group has announced yet another mobile app for its Rapid KL rail and bus services in Klang Valley and Selangor. The new app, known as PULSE (short for Planning Your Lifestyle Efficiently), provides commuters with conveniences such as estimates of bus and train arrival times at Rapid KL operated locations.

According to Prasarana, the app provides information on the status and estimated time of arrival for each aforementioned public transportation service, as well as real-time locations for busses and trains. PULSE covers services including the Kelana Jaya Line, Ampang Line and Sri Petaling Line LRT networks, KL Monorail Line, Rapid Transit Bus Sunway Line, Rapid KL busses and MRT shuttle busses.

Other in-app features that can be utilised by users for planning their trips include a fare calculator and the “Near Me Information” function that enables them to view the nearest stations and places of interest within their proximity. Users can also allow the app to send them push notifications so they can be up to date regarding any changes in the service, such as delays and so on.

The new PULSE app is planned to be available for download next week via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Prasarana added that it is planning to expand the app’s services to also cover other Rapid operated locations such as Penang and Kuantan by mid 2021.
