Besides ASUS and Zotac, MSI officially launched its lineup of GeForce RTX 3070 cards in Malaysia. Specifically, the custom cards that will be available in the country are the Gaming X Trio, Ventus 3X, and Ventus 2X.

Like all of MSI’s cards that receive the Gaming X Trio treatment, this version of the RTX 3070 comes equipped with the brand’s own 4th generation TORX fans that is, in turn, a part of the brand’s Tri Frozr 2 cooling technology. Thanks to this technology, MSI is able to push the card’s GPU a little harder and faster.

Specs-wise, you’re still looking at the same 8nm GA104, Ampere GPU, 8GB GDDR6 RAM running at 14Gbps, 5888 CUDA Cores, but a boost clock of 1805MHz and slightly board power consumption of 240W. To run it, the card requires two 8-pin PCIe ports, and yes, it has RGB LED built into it. Ports-wise, the card features three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1 port.

Moving down the line is MSI’s Ventus RTX 3070 series, which comes in two flavours: the Ventus 3X and Ventus 2X. In terms of performance and specifications, both cards are identical. From the 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory, right down to the 1755MHz boost clock, CUDA cores, and cooler shroud and heatsink design.

What sets the two cards apart – aesthetically, at least – is the number of fans that are attached to them. Stating the obvious, the Ventus 3X ships out with a triple-fan configuration, while the Ventus 2X has one less fan attached to it.
