Around four months ago, the Xiaomi’s Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore, Nicholas Shi has revealed the company’s intention to release more of its ecosystem products in Malaysia. One of the products that he has mentioned was the 34-inch Mi Curved Gaming Monitor which will finally land in Malaysia later this month.
To be released alongside the Mi Portable Photo Printer, the company has confirmed the launch date for the monitor through a post on Xiaomi Malaysia’s Facebook page earlier today:
This revelation is a long-time coming for sure as the Mi Curved Gaming Monitor was originally launched in China back in October 2019. Also known as Mi Surface Display, the 1500R curved monitor is equipped with a WQHD (3440 x 1440) 144Hz panel that also has 4ms response time and support for AMD FreeSync technology.
At launch, the display was priced at RMB 2499 (~RM 1508) although it is currently being sold on Xiaomi China’s website for RMB 2199 (~RM 1327). Don’t worry; we’ll keep you updated when Xiaomi announces the Malaysian pricing for the monitor on 24 August.
