Google today has finally taken the drape off its new phone, the Pixel 4a. It is generally one of the industry’s worst kept secret as we have seen leaks about the phone since late 2019 and many of them have been confirmed by today’s official unveiling.
The Pixel 4a is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor alongside 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB storage. Comes standard with a 5.81-inch Full HD+ OLED display, being a Pixel phone means that it also features the Titan M security module.
Camera-wise, the Pixel 4A carries a single camera module on its back which features a 12.2MP sensor alongside f/1.7 lens and dual-pixel phase detection capability as well as optical and electronic image stabilisation. There is also an 8MP punch-hole selfie camera on the top left part of the phone’s screen.
In addition to having a polycarbonate body, completing the phone’s general specifications is a 3140mAh which supports USB-PD 2.0 standard and up to 18W fast charger. Pricewise, the Pixel 4A will be available for USD 349 (~RM 1475) in the United States later this month.
