OPPO Reno4 Global Model Appears On Malaysian TV Show: Looks Different From The Chinese Variant

OPPO might have just launched Reno3 series in Malaysia back in May but looks like the company is already gearing up to release the new Reno4 in our market very soon. In fact, we have just spotted the phone on a local TV show just a few hours ago.

The new Reno4 was not only mentioned by its name in today’s episode of the popular singing game show, I Can See Your Voice Malaysia (ICSYVMY) but has also appeared several times throughout the episode. Oddly enough, the Reno4 that appeared on the episode looked different from the Reno4 series that OPPO has launched in China last month:

Take a look at the image above and compare with the variant from China below:

As it turns out, it has indeed been rumoured that the global variant of Reno4 will be quite different from the version in China. For example, early information based on a deleted hands-on video stated that the global variant of Reno4 Pro is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G as opposed to the Snapdragon 765G in the model for China.

Additionally, the global Reno4 model is equipped with four rear cameras instead of three as per the Chinese variant. The camera module includes a 48MP main camera alongside 13MP telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide camera while the fourth camera is still unknown at the moment.

Its appearance in tonight’s episode of ICSYVMY was quite distinctive but was also very light in terms of details since no specification or release date was mentioned on air tonight. Nevertheless, it is a clear sign that we are going to hear from OPPO Malaysia about Reno4 very soon.
