Looks like the leak from last week is still accurate so far. As it suggested, the Epic Games Store is now giving away Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for free. This is following the previous high profile free games, Civilization VI and Grand Theft Auto V.
Technically speaking, this means that the EGS is giving away two games for free this time around. After all, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection consists of Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel. As before, claim the free game before 11PM of 4 June, and it’s yours forever.
This makes the free game of this week very appealing. While not as popular as a singular title as GTA V, the fact that this is two games bundled into one means a lot of hours you can pour into them. And you can basically play them forever, considering the looter-shooter nature of the Borderlands series.
That’s three games that’s been accurately predicted by the leak so far. With Borderlands: The Handsome Collection nailed down, the final game in the leak is ARK: Survival Evolved. We’ll find out for sure if it is indeed the next free game on the EGS after the current free game period ends.
