With its status as one of the chosen e-wallets for the e-Tunai Rakyat program, Boost is one of the most popular e-wallet services in Malaysia. If you are a frequent user, then you need to take note of this important update that Boost will implement on users starting from tomorrow, 18 May onwards.

The service will be implementing an update to its service which will provide a bigger limit to both of its Basic and Premium Wallet features. Specifically, the Basic Wallet limit will be increased from RM 200 to RM 1,000 while the Premium Wallet limit goes from RM 1,500 to RM 4,999.

However, the upgrade will also remove the Cash Out feature from Boost which has allowed users to transfer cash from the Wallet to their bank accounts. According to the announcement inside the app, this was done to avoid the risks of having unauthorized transactions, as shown below:

So, if you have a significant amount of cash inside your Boost Wallet and have been planning to cash some of them out, you might want to do it immediately. That being said, we not sure if there’s enough time though as the transfer process takes 3 to 5 working days according to Boost’s FAQ document.
