Xiaomi subsidiary brand Black Shark has recently confirmed that their latest gaming smartphone series, Black Shark 3, will launch in Malaysia on 30 April 2020. The series initially made its debut in China earlier this year in February and introduced two variants of the device.
To recap, the standard version of the Black Shark 3 is equipped with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate and 270Hz touch-sampling rate. It features a 5G enabled Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM, storage capacity of up to 256GB, and a 4,720mAh battery. On the phone’s right hand side are two capacitive shoulder buttons for gaming.
The Black Shark 3 Pro, on the other hand, packs more features and offers a larger screen and battery capacity. Aside from featuring the same refresh rate and touch-sampling rate as the standard version, the Pro is equipped with a 7.1-inch QHD+ OLED display. Other specifications are also the same as the vanilla version, save for its battery which comes in at 5,000mAh. Additionally, the Pro features pop-up mechanical shoulder buttons on its right.
Camera-wise, both phones offers a triple-camera setup consisting of a 64MP main, 13MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP bokeh camera. Housed within a thin bezel on top of their display is a 20MP front-facing camera.
Local pricing for the new Black Shark gaming smartphone series has not been revealed just yet. However, you can expect it to be announced as well as other details when the phones are launched in Malaysia later this month.
