Selangor Police: Movement Control Order Period Likely To Be Extended

The Chief of Integrity and Standards Compliance for Selangor Police Contingent, ACP Mohd Ismail Muslim has stated that the current Movement Control Order (MCO) period likely to be extended further. This remark was made earlier today during a press conference at Selangor Contingent Police Headquarters in Shah Alam.

However, the official confirmation on MCO extension can only be made by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. This is expected to take place tomorrow, 10 April according to ACP Mohd Ismail.

In a separate press conference, the Director-General of Health Malaysia, Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah has pointed that the Ministry of Health (MoH) is reviewing its data and statistics in order to advise the PM Muhyiddin and cabinet members of the next appropriate actions. He and MoH officials apparently will meet up with the PM tomorrow morning to present their recommendations.

Rumours of MCO extension have been flying around for the past few days as the country is getting closer towards the end of MCO Phase 2 which itself is an extension of the original MCO period that supposed to be over on 31 March. With that, we suppose everyone will be keeping a close look for further announcement from PM Muhyiddin tomorrow.
