Manfrotto is a well-known Italian brand in the photography scene and is recognised for its tripods, lighting supports, and accessories. The company has recently unveiled the Pro Rugged memory card brand, their first ever entry into portable storage devices.
As the name implies, Manfrotto’s memory cards sport solid molded designs that are highly durable and are able to protect its components from the elements, while also providing high write and read speeds. The Pro Rugged line are available in SD, CF, and microSD formats and are designed for video recordings in 4K or higher.
According to the company, their SD and microSD cards are able to withstand temperature variations of -25°C to 85°C and impact force of 20kg. The SD cards provide read/write speeds of 280/250 MB/s, rated V90 and designed for 4K and 6K recordings, while the microSD cards provide 90/90 MB/s, rated V30 and capable of 4K.
On the other hand, the Pro Rugged CF cards could withstand 0°C to 70°C in temperature and endure 36kg of force. It has a read/write speed of 160/130 MB/s.
Manfrotto Pro Rugged memory cards are priced at $115 (~RM468) for a 64GB SD, $225 (~RM920) for a 128GB SD, $32 (~RM130) for a 64GB microSD, $42 (~RM170) for a 128GB microSD, $80 (~RM326) for a 64GB CF, and $150 (~RM612) for a 128GB CF. The memory cards are available for purchase now via Manfrotto’s official website, but its availability in Malaysia is unknown for now.
