This week, Epic Games Store (EGS) is giving a total of three games to its users, free of charge. The game titles include the first two Darksiders titles – Darksiders Warmastered Edition and Darksiders Deathinitive Edition – which is, quite frankly, generous. While the third title is Steep, an extreme action sports title.
It should go without saying that the star attraction to this week’s EGS offer is the first two titles. For the uninitiated, Darksiders is a hack-and-slash action-adventure genre, developed by Gunfire Games (previously Vigil Games) and published by THQ Nordic. The series is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth, where battle for dominion between angels and demons have become the norm.
Each title puts you in the shoes of one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse; In the first Darksiders, players control War, a Nephilim who was wrongly imprisoned by the Charred Council. And on a path of vengeance and justice, in order to clear his name. In Darksiders 2, players take control of Death, the eldest of the Four Horsemen, and the most powerful.
Both Darksider titles and Steep will be free until 10 Januarys 2020, so if you haven’t added them to your library, we do recommend that you do so at your earliest convenience.
