RHB and Ministry of Health Adopts Boost E-Wallet To Four Government Clinics; More To Come

RHB Bank Berhad today announced its collaboration with Axiata Digital Ecode and Malaysia’s Ministry of Health (MOH) to implement e-wallet payments at government clinics. The partnership will see RHB as the main banker for MOH in managing the collection and payment accounts via Axiata Digital Ecode’s Boost e-wallet platform.

At the collaboration’s official launch earlier today, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad stated that the use of e-wallets will add value to MoH and counter services at government clinics. The minister also expressed that the clinics are in need of an efficient registration process due to the increasing number of patients, and hopes that the implementation of e-wallets will greatly reduce waiting time at registration counters.

RHB’s Managing Director Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli applauds MoH for adapting to new technologies and bringing digitalisation into the health sector. He also expressed that the e-wallet facility is important to empower consumers and government agencies by providing convenient and secure payment amenities.

The Boost e-wallet transactions have been implemented at four pilot locations, namely the Klinik Kesihatan branches in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya Presint 18, and Seremban. MoH is expected to facilitate the e-wallet services to other clinics nationwide in the near future.
