UniPin officially launched its gaming payment gateway into Malaysia markets in collaboration with KK supermart as their official retailer. Malaysia marks the brand’s third country to set up shop, with the Philippines being the last country prior.

Gamers will now be able to purchase UniPin game credits retail at the local KK Supermart. Direct credit top-up will also be supported rather than the conventional way of reloading into an e-wallet and transfer credits into their game account afterwards.

UniPin established itself nine years ago back in its home country of Indonesia. Today, it is one of the largest payment gateways in Indonesia, providing gamers without access to credit or debit cards the ability to purchase in-game credits with cash. The Jakarta based payment provider is available at their local grocery retailer, Indomaret with over 17,000 outlets.

At this point in time, credits for mobile games such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Ragnarok M: Eternal Love is available. More importantly, UniPin also provides in-game credit for digital distribution and console platforms, such as Steam, PS Store, and the Nintendo eShop. To celebrate its launch, UniPin also announced that patrons who purchase UniPin credits at KK Super Mart from 7 to 21 September will be rewarded with an additional 10% of their UniPin purchase.

UniPin and KKMart also announced that they will be co-hosting a local esports tournament called UniPin KK SMART MART Cup 2019 (UKK Cup) that will be held at selected KK Concept Stores from September 2019 until October 2019. The winning team of the UKK Cup will be competing at the South East Asia Cyber Arena (SEACA) 2019 held in Jakarta, where they will stand a chance to win from a total prize pool of RM600,000.
