During Microsoft’s annual Build event this year, the company gave the crowd of developers a glimpse of Windows Terminal, it’s new command line app. Fast forward to today, and Microsoft has now released an easy installer for the app via Microsoft Store.
Additionally, Terminal also supports GPU-based text rendering, as well as emojis. Plus, because text-rendering on the app is DirectX-driven, developers will be able to utilise the regular characters and symbols that are currently available on the PC.
For the record, the Windows Terminal app is also downloadable via the GitHub community pages, and Microsoft has specified that its version of Terminal will run side-by-side with the build that’s released on GitHub.
