Having teased the remake of Final Fantasy VII last month, it looks like Square Enix is finally ready to announce a release date for the game. And based on a new trailer, that date looks to me 3 March 2020.
The trailer itself didn’t reveal much, though. All we see is a few new combat gameplay, as well as a new cutscenes. By now, it’s all very familiar stuff that we’ve seen before, especially with the trailer from last month.
That said, at the end of it, the trailer displayed the date 3 March 2020. Curiously, only the PlayStation 4 was showcased as a platform for the game. This may mean that the game will be a PS4 exclusive.
There’s still the question of if the game will be released in an episodic manner, as we’ve heard before. We’ll probably hear more once Square Enix concludes its E3 press conference, which will is scheduled to happen tomorrow.
