Their existence is not exactly a secret given tons of leaks that already appeared online prior to their unveiling last night. Still, say hello to the latest members of Google Pixel phone series: the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.
In general, both devices are deemed as mid-range phones since they are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor. They also come standard with Google’s own Titan M security chip alongside 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
They are also equipped with a Full HD+ OLED display panel although the Pixel 3a screen size is slightly smaller at 5.6-inch as compared to Pixel 3a XL’s 6-inch screen. Both devices do share the same 12.2MP dual-pixel f/1.8 rear camera and 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
In terms of battery, the Pixel 3a has a capacity of 3000mAh while the Pixel 3a XL offers 3700mAh and both of them also support 18W fast charging capability. A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is also a standard on these devices.
Price-wise, the Pixel 3a goes for USD 399 (about RM 1,656) while the larger Pixel 3a XL is listed at USD 479 (about RM 1,989). For now, both phones are not officially available in Malaysia since Pixel phones are part of the 98% Made By Google products that the company didn’t release into our market.
Nevertheless, you expect these phones to be available from any enterprising parallel importers shortly, as per norm.
