Electronic Arts (EA) confirmed that there will be a premium Titanfall title in the works. This is in addition to the recently launched Apex Legends free-to-play battle-royale hero-shooter. Naturally, Respawn is the developer behind the upcoming Titanfall title, which is scheduled for release in fall 2019.
The information came about during an EA Q3 financial call, which coincided with Disney’s own financial call. EA CEO Andrew Willson said that the new game will be “a new twist on the Titanfall universe” and a “truly creative take on what Titanfall is in a premium context.”
On the live service game, Apex Legends reportedly had up to three million unique players by the end of its first day. At its peak, the game also recorded nearly 600000 concurrent players.
It looks like Respawn will be very busy this year. Not only does it have the next Titanfall game scheduled for Fall 2019 (and we see what EA did there), it will also have its hands full with periodic content delivery to keep players interested in Apex Legends as well.
