City Broadband To Offer 1Gbps Broadband For Less Than RM200

Now that TNB has announced the success of its NFCP pilot project in Jasin, Melaka, the district looks to be a battleground for ISPs, as there are up to eight looking for new subscribers to sign up. One of them is City Broadband, formerly known as SHTech which was acquired by TNB back in December 2017. It looks like City Broadband is offering the kind of speeds that it first offered in Cyberjaya, but at revised pricepoints.

The difference is also pretty significant, from the looks of it. While it offered 1Gbps speeds for RM399 back in June 2017, it now offers the same speed for about half the price, at RM199. Here are the rest of the offered plans, according the City Broadband website:

If you’re looking to subscribe to City Broadband, then you’ll have to be staying in one of three areas. These area are Cyberjaya, Bangsar South and Jasin.

Also important to note is that the contract for these plans are binding for 24 months. There’s is an option for a 12-month contract, but you’ll have to pay RM300 on top of your usual monthly subscription fee.
