Google has an app called Chrome Canvas, which is essentially a sketching app on a browser. Just type canvas.apps.chrome into your Chrome browser.
In terms of features, things are pretty basic right now. You have a pencil, a pen, a marker, a chalk and an eraser. You can pick your colour for each tool, and that’s about it. But you’ll be able to save your sketches to your Google account, which then allows you to continue your doodles on your phone. You can even export them as a PNG file.
Interestingly, you can even access it from a browser that isn’t Chrome. In fact, it works on any browser that supports WebAssembly. We’ve tested, and can confirm that it works on Firefox and Edge as well.
As basic as it is, this would make it a fairly and commonly used tool available via a browser. Sure, more comprehensive apps exist via downloads or even purchase, but this is perfect for the bored non-professional who just wants to kill a few minutes in between tasks.
