Japanese Programmer Made A Chrome Extension That Disguises Twitter As Slack

Despite the name, Slack is a cloud-based set of tools for work. There’s also a built-in chat system that’s very IRC-like. It’s pretty popular among the professional circles. Twitter, on the other hand, not so much. On that note, a Japanese person made a Chrome plugin that made Twitter look like Slack.

The person behind it goes by the handle of Chanchii (@chihirooo0707), and has demoed his work in action via a tweet.

Chanchii reportedly spent an hour and a half to make the plugin, but it’s not really out yet. He plans to release it within a year, and there are plans for an English version of the plugin as well.

When asked by The Next Web about why the public seem so enthusiastic about this plugin, he said “maybe [it’s because] humans are lazy,” but that he was happy if it helped people. And it’s probably best if we left it at that.
