Kingston officially launched two new SSD lineups under its HyperX gaming lineup. The SSD lineups in question are the FURY RGB and SAVAGE EXO.

The HyperX FURY RGB SSD basically uses the industry standard 2.5-inch form factor. Available in capacities of 240GB, 480GB, and 960GB, the FURY RGB is powered by a 3TLC NAND and a MArvell 88SS1074 controller. In terms of performance, the SSD has sequential read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 480MB/s, respectively.

Of course, the highlight of this particular SSD is the built-in RGB LEDs, which can be seen in all its glory on the top of the product. Kingston says that not only is it “visually stunning” to look at, but the RGB lighting effects can also be customised and daisy chained to sync with other RGB-equipped components.

On the other end of the spectrum, the HyperX SAVAGE EXO SSD is the brand’s new external SSD. Boasting sequential read and write speeds of up to 500MB/s and 400MB/s, respectively. It comes in capacities of 480GB and 960. Like the FURY RGB, it also uses the same 3D TLC NAND.

The new Kingston HyperX FURY RGB and SAVAGE EVO SSDs are currently available in the US. Pricing for the SSDs start from US$74.99 (~RM310) for the FURY RGB, while the SAVAGE EXO starts from US$219 (~RM906). At the time of writing, there is still no word when and if the new SSDs will be making its way to Malaysia.
