Neffos has officially launched the X9 smartphone in Malaysia. The phone is the company’s latest flagship for the year, and is a smartphone that caters to the mid-range market segment.

Specs-wise, the X9 comes equipped with a MediaTek MT6750 SoC, up to 4GB of RAM, a maximum internal storage configuration of 64GB (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), and a 3060mAh non-removable battery. One of the X9’s primary highlight is its large 5.99-inch FullView HD+ IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, which also gives users a near bezel-less experience.

The phone’s also relatively lightweight, weighing in at just 168g. On top of that, it has a thin profile, with a thickness of just 7.95mm. Software-wise, the phones runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, coupled with Neffos’ own NFUI 8.1.

In terms of cameras, the X9 also sports dual 13MP+5MP main camera array, and a 8MP front-facing camera sensor. Besides that, the phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor that Neffos says will unlock the phone in a “fraction of a second”. Other features include a Wi-Fi antenna that supports 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and Dual SIM support.

The Neffos X9 comes in two colours: black and gold. The X9 variant with 3GB/32GB storage is already available for purchase at all authorised resellers and e-commerce partners at an SRP of RM599. There is also a variant with 4GB/64GB storage, but that model will only be made available in Malaysia at the end of August at an SRP of RM799.
