Hot Wheels, has announced a new partnership with GoPro under its ‘Experimotors’ product line up. Enter the Zoom In – a wheeled camera mount for the GoPro Hero5 Session series of action cameras.
Decked out in the signature black and blue colours of GoPro, the Zoom In allows users to mount a Hero5 Session directly onto the toy car, and have it zoom around standard Hot Wheel tracks to show a first-person perspective. It uses a latch to secure the Session onto its body.
Notably, the car only has space for the cube-shaped Sessions camera, not the larger Hero5 Black model. That said, there are no other electronics mounted in the Zoom In; and there really isn’t much difference from just strapping a GoPro to the top of a regular Hot Wheels car. Albeit with a more stable mount.
The Zoom In is said to be made in Malaysia, and is expected to go on sale sometime in June for US$ 1 (RM 3.98).
