MSI Debuts Radeon RX Vega 64 Air Boost Graphics Card

MSI has unveiled its latest custom graphics card called the Radeon RX Vega 64 Air Boost. Interestingly, this graphics card is only the first custom RX Vega 64 card that the company has made so far. This has probably got to do with the “issue” regarding the difficulty of designing a custom cooling solution for Vega GPUs – which come in varying sizes.

That aside, when it comes to design, the MSI RX Vega 64 Air Boost looks almost like the reference Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics card. It comes with an all black cooler shroud, a blower-style cooling fan, and a backplate. That said, what makes this card different compared to the reference Radeon graphics card is that it comes with a custom cooling solution designed by MSI.

Performance-wise, the MSI RX Vega 64 Air Boost features slightly overclocked clock speeds of 1272MHz (base) and 1575MHz (boost). It should be noted that this graphics card draws power via two 8-pin power connectors. Video outputs on the RX Vega 64 Air Boost include: three DisplayPort 1.4 ports and one HDMI 2.0 port.

Unfortunately, local pricing and date of release of the RX Vega 64 Air Boost was not mentioned by MSI. That said, we do expect the company to announce these details soon should MSI decide to bring this graphics card into Malaysia.
