Portal Returns…. As A Bridge Construction Simulator?

A new Portal has been announced, but it isn’t quite what anyone was expecting. The followup to Valve’s smash hits seems to be a sort of bridge construction game, yet still includes the use of portals to navigate levels.

Bridge Constructor Portal is a mashup between Portal and the Bridge Constructor series. GLaDOS makes a return, but the entire game is designed to look more like a traditional puzzle than the FPS of Portal. Needless to say, the game is not being developed by Valve and instead features the work of Clockstone Games.

Interestingly, this also means that the game will not be Windows exclusive. Instead, the announcement says that it will also be headed for macOS, and Linux as well as Android and iOS devices. Not only that, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One will receive the game too.

Bridge Constructor Portal is set to be released on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile on 21 December 2017. The console versions are scheduled for a release in early 2018.
