U Mobile today has officially unveiled a very specialized prepaid SIM pack that is made specifically for Chinese tourists that are visiting Malaysia. Made in cooperation with WeChat, the telco has now joined a select group of telcos throughout the world who have released their WeChat Go-branded SIM pack in their respective markets.

Not surprisingly, the new U Mobile WeChat Go SIM pack offers unlimited data for WeChat. At the same time, the unlimited data can also be used to stream videos from Lingcod TV. In general, the SIM pack allows its users to stay connected and entertained through contents from China even when they are in Malaysia.

With validity of 15 days, the SIM pack also comes with 5GB worth of data for usages in Malaysia. Additionally, there are also 60 minutes worth of talktime that can be used for making calls to numbers within Malaysia or IDD calls to China.

Even though it is targeted to Chinese tourists that are visiting Malaysia, it is quite clear that U Mobile still aiming to have its users to utilize the SIM card even when they visit other nearby countries. This is due to the fact that U Mobile WeChat Go SIM also comes with 1GB of data roaming for Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Priced at RM 38, tourists from China are able to purchase the U Mobile WeChat Go SIM in KLIA and KLIA2 as well as at 138 U Mobile outlets throughout Malaysia starting from 6 December onwards. Alternatively, they can also opt to purchase the SIM pack through Sunway Media (not related to the Malaysia’s Sunway Group) retailers in China before they travel to Malaysia.
