Niantic recently announced its first-ever Global Catch Challenge on Pokémon Go. Catch as many Pokémon as you can in just 7 days to unlock bonuses and rewards such as double XP, double stardust, extended lure duration, Farfetch’d available worldwide, and more.
Catch a total of 500 million Pokémon to unlock double XP, 6 hours lures, and more Pokémon appearing globally. Catch a total of 1.5 billion Pokémon, and you will unlock all those, along with double stardust and even more Pokémon available globally. Finally, if all Pokémon Go trainers can catch a total of 3 billion Pokémon within 7 days, Niantic will bring Farfetch’d around the world and Kangaskhan to East Asia for 48 hours. Currently, Farfetch’d is only available in selected Asian countries like Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan, while Kangaskhan is only available in Australia.
According to Niantic, the Global Catch Challenge rewards will unlock shortly after each milestone is hit, and will last until 1 December 2017. It’s been only about a day, and according to the company, and trainers have already caught over 298 million Pokémon – only about 200 million more to go to unlock the first tier rewards. Catch ‘em all now to unlock the double XP reward, so you can reach the ultimate goal of level 40 as quickly as possible.
