Acer is extending a helping hand to those affected by the Penang floods. Acer is waiving the repair fee on flood damaged devices at its authorised service centre in Bayan Baru. Those looking to recover their Acer made electronics should head over for a free inspection and damage assessment.
That said, customers will still have to bear the cost of replacement parts, but only if the device can be recovered. In the event that the device is damaged beyond repair, Acer is offering a special 15% discount on selected computers. Although, the company has not informed us on which these models happen to be.
Affected customers have until 15 December to take Acer up on the offer and bring their devices in the inspection. For more information, customers can call Acer’s product Info-line at 1800-88-1288.
