A leaked imaged of a promotional post appeared online, showing the date when the OnePlus 5T will be revealed – November 16. The tagline says “Larger display, Same footprint” suggests the previous leak of a larger display size is accurate.
As a recap, the OnePlus 5T is said to feature an 18:9 screen, with a possible 1080p resolution. As with other OnePlus models, we may see high-end specifications as well, so expect the phone to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, up to 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and upgraded dual-camera from the current OnePlus 5.
Now, we have some idea when the OnePlus 5T may appear thanks to a leaked photo of the launch event date. The image shows November 16 will be the live launch event, and it will be an Amazon exclusive when it launches then. India seems to be the origin of this launch leak, as Amazon has exclusive selling right for OnePlus in that country.
At the same time Carl Pei, the CEO of OnePlus, hinted the camera capabilities on social media as he posted a photo on his twitter account, saying “Cool photo, must have come from a great camera.” There is no EXIF data on the image when checked, but we can speculate the image comes from the new OnePlus 5T.
With two weeks to go, we will have to wait and see if November 16 will be the launch date of the OnePlus 5 follow up model. This is also a good time as OnePlus recently just launched an official online store in Malaysia on Shopee.
