Bethesda has announced the PC system requirements for its upcoming, highly anticipated game: The Evil Within 2. This game is set for release on 13 October 2017, and PC gamers are able to pre-purchase the game on Steam now for a modest price of RM236.99. For those who are not aware, The Evil Within 2 tells the story of detective Sebastian Castellanos (same protagonist as the first The Evil Within) who is now on a mission to find his daughter, Lily.
That aside, let’s talk about the PC system requirements for The Evil Within 2. According to Bethesda, this game requires – at minimum – an Intel Core i5-2400 / AMD FX-8320 or better processor. In addition, the one must also have 8GB RAM and 40GB of HDD space. When it comes to graphics, to run this game at “acceptable” framerates, one would require either a Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD HD 7970 graphics card or better.
That said, in order to run The Evil Within 2 “smoothly”, one would, obviously, have to own more powerful PC components. Bethesda has recommended the Intel Core i7-4770 or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X CPU. Besides that, RAM capacity has also been increased to 16GB. Finally, The Evil Within 2 requires either a Nvidia GTX 1060 (6GB) or an AMD RX 480 8GB graphics card as well – anything higher would be better, of course.
Regardless, it remains to be seen whether The Evil Within 2 will run smoothly on PC during launch day. If able, we’d suggest our dear readers to wait until reviews of this game on PC comes out before actually buying it – just in case the game runs horrendously on PC.
